HELP SAVE A PIECE OF HISTORY
We have a unique opportunity to procure a 1912 compressor pump manufactured under the Snow name. This company was the predecessor of Worthington pumps of Buffalo NY. It was installed in the Heath Pumping station of National Fuel Gas located in Segil PA. The installation and history can be viewed on youtube@heathstation. While this is a donation there are significant cost for removal and transportation to our Grounds. The total weight of engine is 192,600lbs with a 13ft flywheel. We are asking for your help to raise the $35,000 that is needed. If everyone that holds a membership in the organization will donate $20 or more we can cover this cost. That would be $20/family or $20/ single membership. Please help your Club fulfill our obligation to our Mission Statement. “The purpose of the men and women of the Western New York Gas & Steam Engine Association Is to preserve and educate, all those it can, about antique internal engines, steam traction tractors/engines and a variety of engines and equipment representing yesteryear.” To our knowledge we would be the only organization in NY to have one on display and only the 4th East of the Mississippi. Please make checks payable to WNYG&SEA and mail to PO Box 75, Alexander, NY 14005 Attn: Pat Peterson Secretary
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Western New York Gas & Steam Engine Assn. Inc.
Our General Meetings are held monthly, usually on the 3rd Sunday at 2 PM. January through March the meetings are moved to a 1 PM start following our Pancake Breakfast fundraisers. The June meeting is on the 2nd Saturday. A Pot-luck luncheon follows the General Meetings.
You are required to be a member to display at our show. All members are encouraged to attend the meetings to stay informed on club work and successes. Many hands are needed to keep this living museum running smoothly, but the benefit of forming great friendships is priceless!
We are sorry, but Guests to our Rally are not allowed to bring dogs onto the grounds. Members staying on the grounds are allowed to keep dogs at their campsite, not out in the event spaces.
